Big things are coming to Shoal Bay ⛱

Let's kick this edition off with all the awesome projects coming up in Shoal Bay this year! 

First up, there will be some brand spanking new amenities built in place of the existing block on the foreshore. The new building will also include beach showers on the external wall. Works are scheduled to start later this month and be finished before Easter.

After the new amenities are complete, our crews will get to work on a 2.5m wide shared pathway along the foreshore. As part of this project we will also undertake some earthworks and landscaping to create a large grassed picnic area. Following this, a lot of the older park furniture will be replaced and new shelters and beach showers will be installed. 

We are also currently working with business owners and operators to trial parklets in Shoal Bay CBD. Parklets are public seating platforms that convert kerbside parks into vibrant community spaces. This project will be a trial to see what works best.
