 SBCA Membership

MEMBERSHIP GENERALLY

​

 

Membership of this Association shall be primarily of residents and businesses of Shoal Bay and the area of Nelson Bay known as Radburn Estate located North of Shoal Bay Road and East of Gowrie Avenue in the State of New South Wales.

Membership of this Association shall be open to all residents, commercial businesses, business and property owners, or their representatives, within Shoal Bay and area of Nelson Bay known as Radburn Estate located North of Shoal Bay Road and East of Gowie Avenue in the State of New South Wales.

Membership of this Association shall consist of Ordinary Members, Corporate Members, Honorary Members and Life Members.
 

  • Corporate Members shall be members who conduct a commercial enterprise or recreational activities within the boundaries stated
     

  • Honorary members may be elected at the discretion of and on such terms as may be decided upon by a majority of members at a General Meeting. Honorary Members shall not be required to pay membership subscriptions, shall not be eligible to hold office and shall not be entitled to vote but shall enjoy all the privileges of membership. The maximum number of Honorary Members shall be as decided by members at any General Meeting.
     

  • Life Membership of the Association may be conferred upon an individual who has over a period of years given unselfish, loyal and outstanding service to the association and its members. Nominations shall be submitted in writing to the Committee for consideration, and if approved, referred to the next General Meeting of the Association for confirmation. Life Members shall not be required to pay membership subscriptions but shall enjoy all other privileges of membership and may hold any office in the Association and is also entitled to one (1) vote. The maximum number of Life Memberships shall be as decided by members at any General Meeting.

                                              Only an individual is eligible for Life Membership.
 

  • The maximum number of ordinary members shall be decided by members at an Annual General Meeting.
     

  • No person shall be denied membership of the Association for reasons of race, religion or political persuasion.
